The CSDC intends to encourage rigorous research on historical, sociology-economical, and political issues. One such area is the decolonization of India’s social sciences and intellectual discourse.

It also attempts to create a symbolic link between socioeconomic challenges on the ground through active field activities and theoretical aspects.
